Alyssa Farah Griffin, co-host of ABC’s “The View”, promised to wear a “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) hat on the show if President Donald Trump freed the Israeli hostages — which he did.

In January, the former Trump aide explained that she would be willing to celebrate President Trump’s victories, even if she staunchly criticizes the current administration.

At the time, Griffin said, “If he gets the Israeli hostages out, I promise I will wear a MAGA hat for one day on the show and say, thank you for doing it.”

Fellow host Sunny Hostin jumped in, imploring, “Please don’t do that.”

“She’ll knock it right off my head,” joked Griffin.

On Monday, due to a peace deal overseen by the Trump administration and agreed upon by both Hamas and Israel, the 20 living hostages were returned to Israel after over two years.

The president’s oldest son, Donald Trump Jr., posted the January video clip on X the same day that his father traveled to Israel to commemorate the ceasefire.

“Sending this to the top,” Trump Jr. wrote of the video. “Let’s go.”

During Monday’s episode, Griffin made no mention of the famous hat, though she did compliment her former boss’s involvement in the ceasefire deal.

“If this peace deal holds, which I pray that it does, it’s historic, it is a massive diplomatic achievement and I think the whole world can breathe a sigh of relief,” she said.

On Tuesday, having returned to the United States, Trump was reminded of Griffin’s promise in the White House.

“Well did she put the hat on?” Trump asked.

When the interviewer answered in the negative, he asked for clarification on which host made the claim.

“So, she used to work here. I’ll tell you about Alyssa,” Trump recalled. “She worked here. She gave me the most beautiful letter when, you know, the administration — the time came up,” he said referring to the 2020 election. “The election was rigged. I left.”

“She gave me the most beautiful letter you’ve ever seen,” he continued, saying that the letter claimed he “was a great president,” and he did a “great job.” Trump explained that she left after January 6th, 2021, but continued to send “glowing letters.”

“And then, she got hired by ‘The View’, and they gave her a couple of bucks, and she changed her view very quickly,” Trump remarked.

“I never thought she’d make it. I never thought she had what it took, in any way. You know what that means. But she’s on ‘The View,’” he said. “But it just shows what a fraud the view is because this woman gave me letters and statements. She said I was the greatest president of her lifetime.”
