French Conservatives Make Huge Gains In Historic French Election Results

France could soon see a right-wing party obtain power for the first time since World War II, with Marine Le Pen’s National Rally making huge gains in the first round of a high-stakes snap election on Sunday.

WWII Veterans Visit Normandy After 80 Years For Historic D-Day Anniversary

As tears come down from their eyes and memories are shared, this year will be the largest D-Day commemoration in history as the last surviving American World War II veterans head back to the beaches of Normandy 80 years later to remember those who lost their lives giving the ultimate sacrifice.

The invasion of Normandy was launched on June 6, 1944, with the simultaneous landing of American, Canadian and British forces spread across five separate beachheads in Normandy.
