Sources: FDA considering ‘Black Box’ warning for COVID-19 vaccines

According to new report, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) intends to add a “black box” warning, the agency’s most severe safety alert, to COVID-19 vaccines — potentially by the end of the year.

CDC Vaccine Advisory Panel votes to stop recommending routine hepatitis B shot at birth: ‘Individual-based decision making’

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) — a panel of experts that advises on vaccine recommendations — voted 8-3 to end the universal recommendation for administering the first dose of the hepatitis B vaccine within 24 hours of birth.
