Democratic socialist Chi Ossé files FEC paperwork, positioning him to launch campaign against House Minority Leader Jeffries

Chi Ossé, a Democratic socialist and New York City Councilmember for Brooklyn’s 36th District, filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to establish a congressional exploratory committee for the state’s 8th Congressional District — positioning him to launch a 2026 Democrat primary challenge against incumbent Hakeem Jeffries.

Gov. Newsom: Calif. will move forward with redistricting efforts to effectively ‘END THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY’

California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom has announced that he plans to move forward with the Golden State’s redistricting efforts, which he claims will effectively “END THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY,” despite California voters widely preferring to preserve the state’s independent redistricting commission.
