Trump admin. appeals court directive to provide full SNAP benefits during shutdown

The Trump administration has turned to the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to request an emergency stay in response to a judge ordering the federal government to fully fund the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) by today.

Bessent suggests SNAP food benefits may resume by Wednesday

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent revealed that Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits could resume as early as Wednesday.

Judges order Trump admin. to pay for SNAP benefits using contingency funds during government shutdown

Two federal judges ordered the Trump administration to utilize contingency funds to pay for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) amid the government shutdown.

Coalition of Democrat-run states sue Trump admin over lapse in SNAP funding

Dozens of Democrat-run states have sued the Trump administration for refusing to utilize the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program’s (SNAP) contingency funds to issue food benefits during the government shutdown.

USDA: Over 40M Americans will lose SNAP benefits beginning Nov. 1

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that approximately 42 million Americans will lose their Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) food benefits beginning on November 1st due to the government shutdown.
