TSA proposes $18 fee for travelers who do not possess REAL ID-compliant form of identification

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) published a notice in the Federal Register on Thursday, revealing plans to introduce an $18 non-refundable fee for passengers arriving at airport security checkpoints without an acceptable form of identification (AFOID) — such as a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or a passport.

TSA officers awarded $10K bonuses for working through govt. shutdown, with more checks anticipated

U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem awarded $10,000 bonus checks to a number of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers who continued working without pay during the 43-day government shutdown.

TSA to phase out ‘shoes off’ policy at airport security checkpoints: ‘Technology has advanced’

For the first time in nearly 20 years, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced that it is phasing out its security screening protocol of asking flyers to take off their shoes.

American Airlines Flight Delayed Amid Suspected Bomb Threat

An American Airlines flight was delayed last week for over four hours after a passenger at the Austin Airport created a Wi-Fi Hotspot named “I have a bomb.”
