New Jersey: Teachers Can Now Be Certified Without Passing Basic Reading, Writing, Math Testing

A New Jersey law that removes a requirement for teachers to pass a reading, writing and mathematics test for certification went into effect on January 1, 2025.

Firefighter Union Representing 300,000 Withholds Democrat Endorsement, Second Time Since 1984

The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) announced on Thursday that it would not be endorsing a presidential candidate, which is in stark contrast from the 2020 election, as it was the first major union to endorse now-President Joe Biden.
