Dollar General Settles In Pregnancy Discrimination Lawsuit

Dollar General reportedly fired an employee in Georgia after she informed her store manager that she was pregnant, according to allegations made by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in a lawsuit.

Actors Strike Continues After Negotiations Stall

Negotiations between Hollywood’s major studios and SAG-AFTRA — the union that represents more than 160,000 actors and performers — have been suspended after two weeks.

U.S. Inflation Surpasses Economists’ Predictions For September

In September, the inflation rate in the United States increased to 3.7%, surpassing economists’ forecasts, according to new data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
