Senate GOP confirms more than 100 Trump nominees

Amid the ongoing government shutdown, Senate Republicans have since confirmed 107 of President Donald Trump’s nominees.

Both plans to end govt shutdown fail in Senate

Both GOP and Democrat-backed stopgap funding bills have failed to pass in the Senate, resulting in a prolonged government shutdown.

Senate fails to pass funding bills to end shutdown — again

For the second time in 24 hours, Senate Democrats blocked a House-passed stopgap spending bill that would have funded the government and ended the ongoing shutdown.
