Hurricane Helene Death Toll Rises To 120, As Rescue Missions Battle Major Flooding

At least 120 people have been killed across Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. The tragic circumstances have led to catastrophic flooding, leaving residents stranded and causing widespread damage to homes, businesses, and critical infrastructure.

Hurricane Helene: Death Toll Rises To Above 40

At least 40 individuals have been reported to have been killed after Hurricane Helene rampaged though the south-eastern United States.

N.C. Gov. Roy Cooper Removes Himself From Kamala Harris Running Mate Selection Lineup

North Carolina Democrat Governor Roy Cooper issued a statement on Monday night, announcing that he will be removing himself from the race to become Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate in the 2024 November election.

North Carolina ‘state of emergency’ over school choice bill

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper declared a state of emergency on Monday in an effort to try and stop the state legislature from overriding his veto on a school choice bill.

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper vetoed a bill which would ban abortion after the first trimester on Saturday.
