Selena’s Killer Claims Shooting Was Accidental, Asserts “Political Prisoner” Status Before Parole

Yolanda Saldívar, the woman who was given a life sentence in 1995 for killing Tejano musical icon Selena Quintanilla-Perez, reiterated her claim that the shooting was an “accident” and that she should be freed from prison.

A former Russian mayor who was found guilty of bribery had his prison sentence shortened after agreeing to fight alongside the nation’s military in Ukraine.

A former limousine company operator is sentenced five to 15 years in prison in connection with a crash in upstate New York that left 20 people dead in 2018.
