TikTok collected sensitive data on Canadian children, investigation finds

TikTok has agreed to improve its measures to keep children off its website and app after a Canadian investigation found its efforts to block children and protect personal information were inadequate.

President Donald Trump announced on Monday that the Washington, D.C., police department will be placed under federal control, and he is deploying the National Guard to curb violent crime from continuing in the nation’s capital.

Canada walks back its digital services tax following Trump’s declaration to terminate trade discussions

Canada reversed its decision to implement a digital services tax, with officials citing expectations of a mutually beneficial and comprehensive trade agreement with the United States, according to a statement released by Ottawa on Sunday night, just one day before the tax was set to take effect.
