Johnny Cash estate sues Coca-Cola, accusing company of pirating Cash’s voice for ad campaign

The estate of Johnny Cash filed a federal lawsuit this week against The Coca-Cola Company, accusing the beverage giant of illegally using the late singer’s distinctive voice and likeness in a 2025 college football advertising campaign without permission.

His family posted a message Monday on his social media sites that he died from a “seizure followed by pneumonia.”

Jamaican reggae star Jimmy Cliff passes at 81

Jimmy Cliff, born James Chambers, the trailblazing musician from Jamaica whose soulful voice and peace-themed lyrics propelled the genre from the island’s streets to international stardom, died on Sunday at 81-years-old.
