Date set for first State of the Union address of Trump’s second term

“Marking the Semiquincentennial anniversary of American Independence,” GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson formally invited President Donald Trump to deliver the State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress on February 24th.

House passes GOP health care bill aimed at lowering costs by 11%

The House passed a GOP health care bill on Wednesday evening, which Republican leaders say will cut health care costs for Americans by approximately 11%.

4 Republicans defect from GOP leadership to join Democrat-led discharge petition, forcing vote on Obamacare subsidies extension

Four “moderate” House Republicans signed a Democrat-led discharge petition initiated by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. This provides the 218 signatures needed to force a floor vote on a bill extending enhanced Affordable Care Act (ACA, commonly called Obamacare) premium subsidies for three years.
