More Money More Problems: House Oversight Hearing Reveals $20 Billion Annual Waste On Animal Testing

The House Oversight Committee held a hearing titled “Transgender Lab Rats and Poisoned Puppies: Oversight of Taxpayer-Funded Animal Cruelty,” in which witnesses exposed the federal government’s wasteful spending – specifically $20 billion annually on animal testing.

Thanks to a FOIA request by the White Coat Waste Project, it’s now discovered an employee for the NIH deleted work-related emails to cover up the agency’s funding of Gain of Function Research in Wuhan, China, that may have led to the COVID-19 outbreak and later, pandemic.
