The House voted down a procedural rule that would have allowed debate and a vote on the GENIUS Act, two related crypto bills—the CLARITY Act and the Anti‑CBDC Surveillance State Act—and the Defense Appropriations bill.

Kevin O’Connor, former President Joe Biden’s physician during his White House term, has asked to delay his testimony before the House oversight committee.

House Republicans advanced their first appropriations bill for fiscal year 2026 on Wednesday, authorizing over $450 billion in funding for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), military construction, and related programs.
