Trump signs EO to expedite marijuana rescheduling to Schedule III, stops short of full legalization

President Donald Trump signed an executive order directing Attorney General Pam Bondi to pursue and expedite the potential rescheduling of marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III — a major shift in federal drug policy by advancing a process that could lead to federal recognition of the drug’s medicinal qualities.

Kicking off the week with momentum just ahead of the holiday season, President Donald Trump signed an executive order directing the State and Treasury Departments to formally initiate the process of designating chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) as foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs) and specially designated global terrorists (SDGTs).
