Both plans to end govt shutdown fail in Senate

Both GOP and Democrat-backed stopgap funding bills have failed to pass in the Senate, resulting in a prolonged government shutdown.

House Passes Senate Budget Plan Backing Trump Priorities After Conservative Pushback

In a close victory, House GOP members barely passed a budget resolution which will allow them to begin unlocking President Donald Trump’s agenda package.
