According to the 2024 Sunday Times Rich List released on Friday, the 81-year old Beatles star’s wealth has risen by 50 million pounds, bringing him over the 1-billion-pound mark.

This is likely in thanks to his 2023 “Got Back” tour and to an increase in his back log due to Beyoncé’s cover of The Beatles song “Blackbird” on her latest album Cowboy Carter. He wrote the famous song with his bandmate, the late John Lennon, in 1968.

Overall, McCarthy claimed the 165th spot on the list. Other notable entertainment figures on the list included “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling, singer-songwriter Sir Elton John, composer Andrew Weber, Rockstar Sir Mick Jagger and TV personality star and record executive Simon Cowell.

King Charles III was on the list as well. He ranked 258th with an estimated wealth of 610 million pounds.
