First Lady Jill Biden has claimed that the president’s age is an ‘asset’ and not a liability.

She made the comments during an interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. The show aired on Thursday morning.

Her comments come amid rising concerns over Biden’s seasoned age and cognition while in office. He is currently 81-years-old and would be 86-years-old at the end of a second term if he wins re-election.

A Wall Street Journal poll released last summer revealed that 73% of voters think Biden is too old to run for president.

However, the first lady insisted that Biden is the right man for the job.

An Associated Press-NORC poll released in August showed that 77% of American adults, including 69% of Democrats, say that Biden is too old to be effective as president for another four years.
