Linda Sun and her husband, Christopher Hu, were arrested on Long Island, the FBI told the New York Post

However, the charges remained under seal as Sun and Hu are set to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon.

Sun was appointed as Hochul’s (D-N.Y.) deputy chief of staff in September 2021 and resigned from the job in November 2022 to work as a deputy commissioner in the New York Department of Labor.

Additionally, she was fired by the Department of Labor in March 2023 after “evidence of misconduct” was discovered, Avi Small, a spokesman for Hochul, told the Daily News on Tuesday.

Furthermore, a $3.5 million home in Manhasset belonging to Sun and Hu was raided by the FBI in July.

Sun’s husband owned and ran a liquor store in Flushing, Queens, as well as several other business ventures.
