Afghan suspect in Nat’l Guardsmen Shooting to be charged with first-degree murder following Beckstrom’s passing

U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro announced Friday that charges against Rahmanullah Lakanwal, the 29-year-old Afghan national accused of ambushing and shooting two newly sworn-in National Guardsmen near the White House on Wednesday, have been upgraded to first-degree murder following the death of 20-year-old West Virginia National Guard Specialist Sarah Beckstrom.

USCIS to reexamine all Green Cards from Trump admin’s list of ‘Countries of Concern’

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director Joseph B. Edlow announced on Thursday that President Donald Trump has ordered the agency to immediately conduct a comprehensive reexamination of every green card issued to individuals from the 19 countries the administration has designated as “countries of concern.”
