President Donald Trump announced on Monday that the Washington, D.C., police department will be placed under federal control, and he is deploying the National Guard to curb violent crime from continuing in the nation’s capital.

President Donald Trump spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday after the Israeli security cabinet greenlit Netanyahu’s plan to engage in a full-scale military occupation of Gaza to destroy the remaining Hamas strongholds and attempt to retrieve the remaining hostages.
