CA reparations plan could cost the state $800 billion

Economists warned a legislative commission studying reparations that paying Black residents for decades of disproportionate policing, incarceration, and housing discrimination could end up costing California more than $800 billion in state revenue.

Elon Musk and top tech execs call for the pause of AI development

A number of tech leaders and well-known Artificial Intelligence researchers, along with Elon Musk and Steve Wozniak, have signed a letter calling on AI labs around the world to pause the development of large AI systems.
