Twitter has temporarily restricted Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Congressional account for seven days after she repeatedly shared an image referring to a “Trans Day of Vengeance.”

Greene (R-Ga.) tweeted the announcement from her personal account on Tuesday. In her tweet, she claimed that she was suspended for “exposing Antifa’s plan for violence.”

Greene also tagged Elon Musk and pointed out that the suspension of her account “for warning the American people of political violence planned at the Supreme Court” contradicts earlier remarks made by Ella Irwin, Twitter’s head of trust and safety.

Greene’s tweet was referencing a demonstration organized for Saturday in front of the Supreme Court.

The Trans Radical Activist Network, Our Rights DC, and other groups had organized an event to protest what they deemed anti-trans legislation, and the violence that transgender people in the United States continue to face.

Irwin previously said the platform had taken down more than 5,000 tweets featuring the same image shared by Greene as the term “Vengeance” did not “imply peaceful protest.”

In a follow-up tweet, Irwin claimed that Twitter did not put “strikes” on accounts sharing the image but simply restricted the piece of media from being shared further.

“We do not support tweets that incite violence irrespective of who posts them,” Irwin said.

On Monday, six people, including three children, were killed in a mass shooting at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee. The shooter, 28-year-old Audrey Hale, was born a biological female, but was living as a transgender male who goes by “he/him” pronouns.
