Elizabeth Holmes begins 11-year prison sentence

Elizabeth Holmes, the disgraced founder of the ill-fated blood testing start-up Theranos, acknowledged her own downfall from success on Tuesday when she was forced to report to prison to begin her sentencing.

Ex-El Salvador President sentenced to 14 years in prison

Mauricio Funes, who served as the President of El Salvador from 2009 until 2014 has been sentenced in prison for negotiating with gangs during his administration according to the Associated Press.

Texas approves bill for armed guards at all schools

Texas lawmakers sent a comprehensive school safety bill to Governor Greg Abbott on Sunday, which calls for the posting of armed security officers at every school and the provision of mental health training for certain district personnel.
