14-year-old ‘heroine’ recovering after being shot in leg while shielding children during Bondi Beach terrorist attack

A 14-year-old girl who was shot during the Bondi Beach antisemitic terrorist attack used her injured body to shield two young children whose mothers had been killed nearby. Rather than fleeing, she stayed with them to keep them safe and has since been widely hailed as a true heroine.

Education Secy. McMahon slams Walz’s ‘Careless lack of oversight’ leading to theft of over $12M in student grants and loans

U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon rebuked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz on Tuesday, issuing a sharply worded letter that slammed his administration. In it, McMahon highlights Walz’s “careless lack of oversight,” while tying his leadership to deep failures in the state’s welfare system that allowed widespread, ongoing fraud to flourish.

Hedge fund billionaire Ray Dalio and his wife announced a commitment to contribute $75 million to children in Connecticut. This funds $250 per child for roughly 300,000 eligible children in their home state as part of seeding “Trump Accounts” — the administration’s federal initiative for child investment accounts.
