UPDATE: 7:32 AM PT – President Trump went on to celebrate the release of the hostages during his speech at the Knesset, proclaiming: “After two harrowing years in darkness and captivity, 20 courageous hostages are returning to the glorious embrace of their families.”

“Twenty-eight more precious loved ones are coming home at last to rest in this sacred soil for all of time.” Trump continued. “This is not only the end of a war. This is the end of an age of terror and death, the beginning of the age of faith and hope and of God.”

“As we celebrate today, let us remember how this nightmare of depravity and death all began two years ago, on the eve of the Simchat Torah holiday, thousands of innocent Israeli civilians were attacked by terrorists in one of the most evil and heinous desecration of innocent life the world has ever seen.”

At one point in his speech, President Trump told Israeli officials that Israel has “won all that they can by force of arms,” and it is now time to “enjoy the fruits of your labor.”

“Israel, with our help, has won all that they can by force of arms. You’ve won. Now, it is time to translate these victories against terrorists on the battlefield into the ultimate prize of peace and prosperity for the entire Middle East. It’s about time you were able to enjoy the fruits of your labor,” Trump stated.

The president then turned to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and explained that he will be remembered “far more” for accepting and maintaining a peace agreement than if he had continued the military campaign in Gaza.

“If you would have gone on for three, four more years, fighting, fighting, fighting — it was getting bad. It was getting heated,” he continued. “The timing of this is brilliant. I said, ‘Bibi, you’re going to be remembered for this far more than if you kept this thing going, going, going, kill, kill, kill.”

Additionally, President Trump noted that peace with Iran is also on the table, despite the recent Twelve-Day War between Israel and Iran, showcasing the president’s desire for long-term peace in the Middle East.

“Even to Iran, whose regime has inflicted so much death on the Middle East, the hand of friendship and cooperation is open,” Trump proclaimed. “I’m telling you, they want to make a deal.”

“There’s nothing that would do more good for this part of the world than for Iran’s leaders to renounce terrorists, stop threatening their neighbors, quit funding their militant proxies and finally recognize Israel’s right to exist,” the president added. “And to Iran … we are ready when you are, and it will be the best decision that Iran has ever made.”

4:51 AM PT – While addressing the Knesset, President Donald Trump hailed the historic peace deal as “an incredible triumph for Israel and for the world.”

The president spoke before the Israeli parliament following the release of all living hostages from Gaza. In his remarks, Trump stated that from “generations from now, this will be remembered as the moment that everything began to change.”

“After so many years of unceasing war and endless danger, today, the skies are calm, the guns are silent, the sirens are still, and the sun rises on a Holy Land that is finally at peace,” he said.

The president reaffirmed that the United States has always stood by its close ally, Israel. When Israel grieves, America grieves. He vowed that the United States will stand with the Jewish state under two everlasting promises — to never forget, and to ensure that an event like October 7th never happens again.
