Since the pandemic animal shelters have been inundated with owner surrenders, and stray cats have flooded their facilities. Shelters can struggle to provide adequate care under this volume, and in extreme cases innocent animals are euthanized. One America’s Katie Smith spoke with the founder of Cats of Oceanside, Alison Smith to discuss this issue.
