A California assembly committee blocked Senate Bill 14 that would have increased the penalties for human trafficking, specifically for trafficking children. Six Democrats voted ‘no’ while two Republicans voted ‘yes.’ However, those who support the bill say there is a way to save it. One America’s Stella Escobedo spoke with Denise Aguilar and Tara Thornton of the Freedom Angels about what can be done next.
