N.Y. governor approves abortion safe haven laws

New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D) signed a bill expanding abortion access in the Empire State. She approved six bills to make her state a “safe haven” for the procedure in case the Supreme Court rules Roe v. Wade to be unconstitutional.

R.I. COVID vaccine bill would fine unvaccinated

Some Rhode Island lawmakers have proposed a bill that would require residents 16 and older to be COVID vaccinated. Those who don’t comply would be fined. One America’s Stella Escobedo spoke to House Republican Blake Filippi, who said the bill is outrageous.

Calif. State Senate pulls bill mandating COVID-19 vaccine for school children

In a big win for California parents, COVID-19 vaccine mandates for schoolchildren has been paused. California Senate Bill 871 would have mandated all California schoolchildren to get the vaccine to attend school and would get rid of any exemptions. One America’s Stella Escobedo caught up with one California parent who’s been fighting the mandates.
