A wildfire that ravaged a Hawaii rainforest is part of a shifting reality for the typically lush island state, coming just months after a devastating blaze on a nearby island burned an entire town, claiming the lives of at least 99 people.

$150M Fund To Support Maui Fire Victims And Their Families

Hawaii Governor Josh Green announced that there will be a $150 million fund called the Maui Recovery Fund, dedicated to those who lost family members or were severely wounded in the recent wildfires.

West Maui To Reopen To Tourists In November

Following the deadliest U.S. wildfire in over a century, Maui County officials have announced that all of West Maui — except for destroyed sections of historic Lahaina — will be welcoming visitors again on November 1st.
