Federal court blocks Texas from using newly drawn congressional maps

A three-judge District Court panel has ruled against implementing Texas’ new congressional maps for the 2026 midterms, dealing a major setback to Republicans who were looking to net more seats and maintain their narrow House majority in the upcoming election.

Ohio approves new congressional map, giving GOP a boost

Lawmakers in Ohio voted unanimously for a new congressional map that would give the GOP a slight boost ahead of next year’s midterm elections.

Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals blocks Louisiana’s Congressional map over racial gerrymandering concerns

Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals judges rejected Louisiana’s request to enforce its long-stalled Congressional redistricting map — ruling that the plan amounts to unconstitutional racial gerrymandering.

Arnold Schwarzenegger trains to ‘terminate’ Gov. Newsom’s gerrymandering

N.C. Supreme Court permits political gerrymandering
