Afghanistan: New Taliban Law Bans Women From Showing Their Faces And Speaking In Public

The Taliban on Monday rejected criticisms announced by the United Nations over new laws that ban women in Afghanistan from baring their faces and speaking in public places.

Apparent Murder-Suicide Leaves 1 Student Dead At Rice University

A student at Rice University in Houston, Texas, was found dead in her dorm room in an apparent murder-suicide, causing the campus to go into an almost two-hour lockdown as students finished their first day of classes, according to police and university officials.

Idaho School District Requires Parental Consent For Basic First Aid On Students

A Boise, Idaho school district is requiring students to have parental permission before they can get a Band-Aid or headache medication from school nurses or staff.

Newsom Calling For School Districts To Ban Cellphones In Class
