McConnell urges Biden to get Democrats to raise debt ceiling on their own

Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) urged Joe Biden to directly appeal with congressional Democrats to raise the debt ceiling themselves. In a letter to Biden on Monday, McConnell warned Democrats were “sleepwalking” toward unavoidable danger because of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-N.Y.) months of inaction.
