U.S. Federal Prisons Failed To Stop Almost 200 Deaths By Suicide, DOJ Watchdog Finds

According to a Justice Department watchdog insider, the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) failed to prevent the deaths of 187 inmates who died by suicide over an eight-year span, according to a released report.

A former Internal Revenue Service (IRS) contractor took the position specifically to “steal and leak data” from President Donald Trump’s tax returns, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ), which informed a sentencing judge on Wednesday.
