Accused D.C. pipe bomber appears in court

Brian Cole Jr., the Virginia man accused of planting pipe bombs outside the headquarters of the Republican National Committee (RNC) and Democratic National Committee (DNC) on January 5, 2021 — the night before the January 6th Capitol protest — appeared in federal court for a detention hearing to determine whether he should remain in jail pending trial.

FBI: Nashville Christian school shooter Audrey Hale used student financial aid to purchase firearms

Following a legal battle, the Trump administration’s FBI has released more than 100 additional pages of writings from Audrey Hale, the transgender shooter responsible for the March 2023 attack at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee.

Kentucky: Shelter-in-Place order lifted following 31-car train derailment, no injuries reported

Local authorities reported that a CSX train derailed 31 rail cars near Trenton in Todd County, Kentucky, close to the Kentucky-Tennessee border. One rail car had a large inventory of sulfur that ignited during the crash.

New dashcam video released of missing Texas teen as authorities warn she’s in ‘imminent danger’

A new dashcam video released by Texas authorities may assist investigators in locating a missing teenage girl who has been unaccounted for since Christmas Eve. Authorities believe the 19-year-old is “in imminent danger.”

N.Y. minimum wage set to increase on Jan. 1

On January 1st, New York will raise its minimum wage to $17 an hour in New York City (NYC), Long Island, and Westchester County. As for the rest of the Empire State, the minimum wage will be $16 an hour.

Nigeria: British boxer Anthony Joshua injured in car accident, 2 others killed

British heavyweight Anthony Joshua was involved in a fatal car accident in Nigeria on Monday morning, just weeks after his sixth-round knockout win over Jake Paul. While Joshua escaped with only minor injuries, the crash tragically claimed the lives of both his conditioning coach and personal trainer.
