A photo taken on April 16, 2015 in the northern city of Calais shows the building where Chloe, a nine-year-old girl who was snatched on April 15 in front of her mother from the playground, lived. France was in shock on April 16 after a nine-year-old girl was found dead in a wood shortly after being snatched in front of her mother from a playground in the northern city of Calais. A Polish man with a long criminal history, who had been banned from French territory, has admitted to raping and murdering the girl, sources close to the investigation told AFP. The 38-year-old was arrested on Wednesday night near the woods where her naked, lifeless body was found. Chloe was playing with a friend when a man "appeared and grabbed her, forcing her to get into a red car," prosecutors said in a statement. US police interrogated three brothers Wednesday as grim details began to emerge about how three young Ohio women were kidnapped and held captive for 10 years in an unremarkable city home. Amanda Berry, 27, Gina DeJesus, 23, and Michelle Knight, 32, were freed from a home on Cleveland's Seymour Avenue on Monday, nearly ten years after they had each disappeared in separate incidents. The occupant of the home, a 52-year-old former school bus driver of Puerto Rican origin, Ariel Castro, has been arrested, along with his brothers, Pedro, 54, and Onil, 50.
