UAW Expands Strike Against Ford, Adds Two Assembly Plants

The United Auto Workers (UAW) has added two more assembly plants to its strike against General Motors and Ford, increasing pressure on the firms to reach a new contract agreement.

House Oversight Begins Probe Into Granholm’s Electric Vehicle Road Trip Fiasco

The House Oversight Committee is commencing a probe into Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm’s summer road trip in an electric vehicle (EV), which gained attention after charging issues led to a family calling the police on staff who were blocking a charging outlet for the official.

Libya Flood Death Toll Rises To 11,000, Still 10,000 More Missing

Authorities have confirmed that at least 11,000 people have been presumed dead and more than 10,000 are still missing after the tragic flood in Libya.

Auto Safety Regulators Seek to Recall 52 Million Airbags

On Tuesday, federal auto safety regulators stated that nearly 52 million airbag systems manufactured by ARC Automotive Inc. and Delphi Automotive could be dangerous to drivers and should be recalled after the parts caused two deaths that should have been prevented.
