Calif. Democrat lawmakers pass bill banning face coverings for ICE agents

California state lawmakers passed a bill effectively banning law enforcement officers from wearing face coverings while in public, seemingly as a direct defensive response to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids.

Calif. GOP leaders propose ‘two-state solution’ amid Newsom’s redistricting push

The head of the Republican caucus in the California State Assembly has proposed splitting California into two states in protest of congressional redistricting efforts by Governor Gavin Newsom and state Democrats.

Calif. Lawmakers Approve Bill That Bans 6 Artificial Dyes In Foods Served By Public Schools

California lawmakers have passed a first ever law that would ban six artificial dyes from the foods served in the state’s public schools, sending it to the governor for his signature.

California has passed new “Ebony Alert” legislation that seeks to inform the public about missing Black children.
