Calif. Fast Food Minimum Wage Hike Continues Impacting Positions, Businesses: 10,000 Jobs Lost

As struggling businesses reduce labor expenses and boost prices to counteract wage hikes, fast food restaurants in California have eliminated over 10,000 jobs as a result of the state’s new $20 minimum wage, according to a trade group that reported the findings on Thursday.

California Sees 7% Fast-Food Price Hike Amid $20 Minimum Wage Raise, Tops Nation

With the massive increase in minimum wage for fast-food workers in California, the Golden State saw their fast-food prices increase at least 7% in a six-month period.
