Democrat Abigail Spanberger has defeated Republican Winsome Earle-Sears to become Virginia’s next governor — and the first woman to hold the office in the state’s 246-year history.

Trump: ‘Unconstitutional’ Calif. redistricting voting involving mail-in ballots is ‘RIGGED,’ will face ‘legal and criminal review’

President Donald Trump denounced California’s mail-in voting system and its controversial redistricting measure, labeling the process a “GIANT SCAM” and declaring that all mail-in ballots were under “very serious legal and criminal review” by his administration.

Richard “Dick” Bruce Cheney, the 46th Vice President of the United States under former President George W. Bush, died on Monday at the age of 84 — leading Bush to post a tribute for his longtime political confidant.

Donna Jean Godchaux-MacKay, the soulful Southern voice that brought gospel-infused harmonies to the Grateful Dead’s psychedelic soundscapes and became the band’s first and only female member during its 1970s heyday, died on Sunday at the age of 78.
