Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre says the White House paused weapons shipments to Israel in order to prevent them from entering Rafah.

She made these comments during a press conference on Wednesday, after claiming that the administration’s support for Israel is ironclad.

Many believe that President Joe Biden is abandoning Israel in order to try to win over voters in Dearborn, Michigan.

However, Jean-Pierre denied these rumors.

“I would say that we have been very loud and clear about our concerns about a major military operations shipment in Rafah for weeks, for months!” she stated. “This is something that we have been talking about for some time. For some time now. So, they’re not connected. This is not about politics for this president. This is about the right thing to do.”

Biden has repeatedly pressured Israel to stand down while also calling for the release of the hostages held by Hamas.
