A senior Iranian official shockingly suggested that President Donald Trump could be killed by a drone strike while at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida — amid the ongoing turmoil between Israel and Iran.
On Wednesday, Iran International reported that Mohammad-Javad Larijani, a senior adviser to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and a brother to two of the country’s most powerful political figures, suggested a “small drone might hit” the GOP president.
“Trump has done something that he can no longer sunbathe in Mar-a-Lago,” Larijani said. “As he lies there with his stomach to the sun, a small drone might hit him in the navel,” Larijani added. “It’s very simple.”

His remarks came in response to claims made by the Iranian Blood Pact, an online fundraising site that seeks “retribution against those who mock and threaten” Khamenei. Also known as Ahde Khoun, the online fundraising platform claims to support a bounty campaign by collecting money to “bring the enemies of God and those who threaten the life of Ali Khamenei to justice.”
Blood Pact now claims to have raised over $40 million, with a stated aim of reaching $100 million to fund the assassination of President Donald Trump.
Trump has been the target of assassination threats since 2020, when he ordered the killing of IRGC Gen. Qassem Soleimani in Iraq, and last year, U.S. law enforcement accused Iran’s military of plotting to assassinate the GOP president — which former President Joe Biden’s FBI corroborated. Biden’s Justice Department announced federal charges in November 2024 after a thwarted Iranian plot to kill Trump before the presidential election.
On Monday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told Tucker Carlson that the so-called “fatwa of warfare” is not affiliated with the Iranian government or Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. However, Kayhan—a newspaper supervised by a representative of the Supreme Leader—swiftly rejected his assertion.
“This is not an academic opinion,” it said in an editorial. “It is a clear religious ruling in defense of faith, sanctities, and especially the guardianship of the jurist.”
The outlet noted that any future “firestarter” would face retaliation and it concluded that “The Islamic Republic will drown Israel in blood.”
