The list of potential presidential candidates include Florida Governor Ron DeSantis(R-Fla.), Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley (R-S.C.), North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum (R-N.D.), South Carolina Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C), former Vice President Mike Pence, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson (R-Ark.), former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R-N.J.) and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.

The requirements to make it to the debate stage included each candidate having to reach 1% support in three national polls, or 1% in two national polls and two state polls from either New Hampshire, Iowa, South Carolina or Nevada.

In addition, each candidate had to meet the requirement of having 40,000 unique donors to their campaign and “at least 200 unique donors per state or territory in 20+ states and or territories,” according to the RNC criteria.

Former President Donald Trump has recently stated he will not participate in the debate, saying he will not sign the GOP loyalty pledge.

According to the RNC, the pledge requires that candidates must support the Republican nominee, they must agree to not participate in any non-RNC-sanctioned debates for the rest of the 2024 election cycle and they must agree to data-sharing with the national party committee.

Multiple issues will be discussed during the debate, including inflation and the economy, tensions with Russia and China, migration and the southern border, and more.

The debate will air on Fox News and Rumble will be the online live-streaming partner.
