Rapper Cardi B posted a video message on Tuesday night that appeared to reference the early election results, but she quickly deleted it after receiving pushback, even from those who see eye-to-eye with her politically.

“This is why some of y’all states be getting hurricanes,” the “WAP” rapper said in the video, posting on X (Twitter) with a face-distorting filter. However, the video was deleted within minutes of its posting.

The Associated Press had called the elections in Florida, Louisiana, Texas, and North Carolina in favor of Donald Trump right before Cardi B uploaded the post. However, she did not specify any particular residents of any state.

As early returns indicated Kamala Harris was lagging behind Trump in several crucial swing states, the musician also tweeted, “We need a hail mary.”

In recent weeks, Cardi B, a former stripper-turned-rapper, has been outspoken in her support of Harris. On Friday, she gave an abrupt speech at Harris’ rally in Wisconsin.

“Like Kamala Harris, I too have been the underdog,” she said to the crowd. “I’ve been underestimated. My success, belittle[d] and discredited. Women have to work 10 times harder, perform 10 times better, and still, people question us how we got to the top.”

However, due to technological difficulties, Cardi B’s teleprompter stopped working soon after, which prompted her to express visibly confused and concerned facial expressions.

It became evident that she did not have the ability to improv or speak freely on her own in an eloquent manner while endorsing Harris.

Meanwhile, X owner Elon Musk chimed in on Cardi B’s flop of a celebrity endorsement speech, saying: “Another puppet who can’t even talk without being fed the words,” he wrote. “The Kamala campaign has no authenticity or true empathy.”

To most online users’ surprise, Cardi B actually responded back.

“I’m a daughter of two immigrant parents that had to work their ass off to provide for me! I’m a product of welfare, I’m a product of section 8, I’m a product of poverty and I’m a product of what happens when the system is set up against you… But you don’t know nothing about that. You don’t know not one thing about the American struggle….” the rapper said, pushing back.
