Pro-Palestine Group Cancels Scheduled Plan to Storm Holocaust Museum After Backlash

After facing strong criticism, a recently established anti-Zionism activist group that supports Palestinians has called off their plan to storm a Holocaust museum in protest of Israel.

The group Doctors Against Genocide (DAG) posted on Tuesday that it will no longer be holding its scheduled demonstration at the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.

However, their most recent social media post, although vague, insinuated that the group would be planning other protests in the future.

“We made a decision to cancel the event. We will be announcing future events with more detailed communication,” DAG posted on X (Twitter). The group recently made their X posts private from the public.

Social media users strongly denounced DAG as anti-Semitic, partly because of its choice to hold a protest against Israel within a Holocaust memorial honoring the Jewish people who were exterminated by Nazi dictatorship in Germany.

DAG organized a news conference on Capitol Hill previously to demand a “ceasefire” in the continuing war between Israel and Hamas.

Members of “the squad,” Democrat Representatives Cori Bush of Missouri, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, were among those who spoke at the news conference.

After Israel responded to Hamas’ terrorist strikes on the nation and its citizens on October 7^th, which resulted in the deaths of at least 1,200 innocent civilians from Israel and all over the world, DAG was established.

“Doctors Against Genocide was founded in 2023 as some of the medical community’s response to the Genocide in Gaza,” DAG’s website states.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Israel’s war cabinet convened on Monday night to discuss an Egyptian request to halt hostilities in Gaza. According to reports, a senior Israeli official visited the White House on Tuesday of this week to talk about the war’s next stages.
