Man Claiming To Be Female Arrested At Planet Fitness After Going Into Womens’ Locker room ‘Completely Naked’

A woman leg lifts at Planet Fitness in the Columbia Mall on July 24, 2017 in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. - Mall space is being repurposed as more department store chains close stores that have traditionally served as "anchors" at malls. The Planet Fitness now occupies the space that was previously a Sears. Abandoned by the big brands, deserted by the young, the American mall, once temples of the shopping, have become ghost towns, victims of the explosion of online shopping. A member of the gym Planet Fitness allegedly went into a ladies’ locker room and stripped down “completely naked,” claiming he identified as a woman, according to North Carolina police and 911 callers.

38-year-old Christopher Miller, was arrested on a charge of indecent exposure and was then booked into the Gaston County jail last Thursday.

Miller allegedly took advantage of the gym’s bathroom policy that allows members to use locker rooms, bathrooms, and showers based on their “gender identity” and entered the locker room.

He then allegedly disrobed and asked a woman to rub lotion on him and shower together before one woman called 911, according to WSOC-TV

“It’s a man but he says he identifies as a woman, and he won’t leave the restroom,” the 911 caller told an emergency dispatcher. “But he is just walking around showing us his — and he won’t leave.”

“OK, so he is completely naked?” the dispatcher asked.

“He is completely naked,” the caller said.

“I think a woman should be able to go into a women’s bathroom without a man coming in saying he’s transgender,” gym goer Betty Brice said.

Planet Fitness sent a statement to the New York Post discussing the arrest of Miller.

“At Planet Fitness, the safety of our employees and members is our top priority, and we have zero tolerance for harassment of any kind in our clubs,” said McCall Gosselin, chief corporate affairs officer at Planet Fitness. “We took immediate action to ensure the safety of club members, including notifying and working with law enforcement.”

Miller is being held on a $25,000 bond.

The incident comes just a month after a woman said her Planet Fitness membership was taken away after she reportedly took a photo of a man shaving in a woman’s locker room.

Patricia Silva said she took the photo because she was caught off guard to see someone “with a penis,” grooming themselves next to a young girl. Planet Fitness claimed that Silva violated the gym’s policy.
