Huma Abedin, the ex-wife of disgraced Democrat congressman Anthony Weiner and a longtime aide to Hillary Clinton, has been dating the son of far-left billionaire George Soros.
Abedin’s ex-husband, Weiner, was given a 21-month jail term after entering a guilty plea to a charge of sending obscene material to a minor in 2017. In addition, he was forced to permanently register as a sex offender. He was freed in 2019.
Alex Soros disclosed his relationship with Abedin on Wednesday, sharing a photo of the two on a Valentine’s Day date in Paris on his Instagram story. 38-year-old Alex and 47-year-old Abedin were seen cuddling in a booth above the red-lettered words “Happy Valentine’s Day” in the shared snapshot.
Until last year, when he was unexpectedly named as the official heir to his father’s $25 billion Open Society Foundations (OSF) empire, Alex was known for being a “playboy” who threw extravagant parties in the Hamptons and frequently attended red carpet events.
This decision saw him usurp his older brother Jonathan in a corporate battle that many compared to the HBO series Succession.
According to what Alex told The Wall Street Journal, he plans to sponsor far-left causes like abortion rights and become even more politically involved than his father. In addition, he said that he was afraid of a second Trump administration and promised to keep funding Democrat lawmakers.
“As much as I would love to get money out of politics, as long as the other side is doing it, we will have to do it, too,” Soros said.
Recently, another report said that a Soros-backed organization has been investing large sums of money to try to turn Texas more “blue” for the upcoming 2024 election.
“A political action committee (PAC), financially backed by billionaire George Soros, is looking to “turn Texas blue” this year as other left-wing groups have expressed increasing interest in turning the state blue with the help of mass immigration,” the report stated.
“Texas Majority PAC, run by consultants who worked for Beto O’Rourke’s failed gubernatorial campaign, is being partially funded by Soros, who has a net worth of $6.7 billion and remains one of the biggest donors to Democrats in the United States,” it continued.
