CNN is set to host a town hall with former Vice President, Mike Pence, next month in Iowa, the network announced Thursday.

The town hall is set to be moderated by CNN’s chief political correspondent, Dana Bash, on June 7th.

The event will give Pence the opportunity to answer questions from Bash and a live audience of Iowa Republicans and other voters who are planning to take part in the Republican caucus.

This will be the third CNN presidential town hall since Donald Trump and Nikki Haley. The network received much criticism for hosting the former president. On Wednesday, it was announced that there will be another hosting Nikki Haley on June 4.

The move caused speculation as to whether or not Pence will enter the 2024 race as he has been positioning himself as a presidential candidate for months. Pence said he expects to make a decision “before the month of June is out.”

With his decision looming, Pence’s speculated entry into the Republican primary would put him against his former presidential counterpart President Donald Trump after the two had a fallout over the January 6th U.S. Capitol breach and the former vice president saying the republican party needs to move on from Trump.
